Describe Yourself:Some folks are born with a silver spoon. I was born with a pen in one hand and paper in the other. Poet from 13 to 20. Songwriting, and poetry from 20 until now. Also, working on my first book now. Trying to give the writing side of me one last good chance in life.
-
On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:Keeping the dream and passion alive, while sharing with other impassioned dreamers !!! I'll be putting myself on paper here: please don't wad me up and throw me away!!! I'm " writing " a 'life' here---I hope it's worth sharing. Gather with me, around the written word. Lonnie, The Southern SongSmith.

Been missing you!

Kasey Klein, Sep 10, 2010, 7:58PM EDTI think, Lonnie, we could have a long conversation in front of the fire on a cold winter night with the snow falling outside.
"Religion is about hubris," is a coy statement with many layers.
Don't assume what I do or do not believe, though I don't embrace magical thinking as a rule.
My bottom line is this: I don't feel we should judge a person by what he or she says he or she believes. I feel we should judge a person by his or her actions.
For example, many people in congress boasted we were a Christian nation, as they took us to war. A Christian nation would not go to war. A Christian nation would not have the poverty we have. On and on.
If I were God, I would not judge a man by how many hour he spends on his knees worshiping me. I'd judge a man by how well he takes care of what I gave him, i.e. the world and the people around him. -
